Personal projects of my academic studies
Painting
All the paintings here are studies of photographs and real life, using various materials such as acrylic, water-based oil, pastel and charcoal, as well as different supports, predominantly paper and wood.
Trompe-l'œil
Trompe-i'œil is an artistic term for the highly realistic optical illusion of three-dimensional space and objects on a two-dimensional surface. In this case, it was used to create textures and materials with paintings and Air Dry Clay on medium-density fibreboards.
Here is the process of the first texture: Rust-finished metal sheet.
Ancient Techniques
Even if fresco and sgraffito are decorative techniques that were very popular for centuries, we see less and less of them and very few people get to study and practice them. In my case, I was able to specialise in these techniques at art school and university in Seville.
